By using, viewing, and/or accessing the website www.collegestorageusa.com (the “Website”), you agree and accept the Terms and Conditions as set forth herein by College Storage LLC and/or any of its parents, subsidiaries, partners, and/or affiliates (collectively, “College Storage”).
College Storage provides storage services for college students which includes pickup and delivery of items to be stored at a storage facility selected by College Storage in its sole discretion. You are responsible for properly packing all items prior to College Storage picking up the items. In the event you need access to any items in storage, you must set up an appointment at least Seventy Two (72) hours in advance. You acknowledge that some storage facilities chosen by College Storage do not allow you to access your items while in storage. Please contact the storage facility to determine whether your items may be accessed.
You are responsible for packing all items to be picked up by College Storage and/or stored by College Storage in the following manner:
- All items must be in a box or storage container unless it is an oversized item that cannot be boxed
or put in a container.
- You are responsible for ensuring that each box or storage container is not too heavy for the driver
to pickup and in no event more than Fifty (50) pounds. College Storage reserves the right to re-
pack your items or to reject any box or storage container in the event that College Storage
determines in its sole discretion that the box or storage container is too heavy.
- All boxes and storage containers must (i) be properly sealed so that they do not open during
transit and the items cannot be easily accessed, (ii) have your name written on the box or storage
container, and (iii) have a label provided by College Storage that is properly secured to such box
or storage container and is visible. The labels are available for printing in your account page.
- You are responsible for properly packing fragile items.
- Oversize items such as furniture, mattresses, and box springs must be wrapped and protected.
- Items with wheels such as desks and chairs shall be removed prior to pick up.
- An inventory list accessible in your account page must be completed and provided to the driver at
pickup. The inventory list must be legible and include all items being picked up and stored.
- You must take photographs of each box or storage container properly sealed and labeled. Your
failure to have photographs of each box and/or storage container included in the inventory will
preclude you from submitting a claim alleging that any item has been lost damaged or subject to
College Storage is not responsible for any items that are lost damaged, and/or subject to theft due to your failure to properly pack such items and/or secure the boxes or storage containers.
College Storage reserves the right to refuse to pick up and/or store any boxes, storage containers, and/or items that do not comply with these Terms and Conditions and/or based on the weight or packing of such items. College Storage reserves the right to open and inspect any box or container in its sole discretion. You agree and acknowledge that you are prohibited from storing any of the following items
- Liquids other than paint or art supplies that are properly sealed as determined by College Storage
in its sole discretion;
- perishable items;
- hazardous materials;
- items of value such as jewelry and collectibles; and
- items that are prohibited by any state or federal law, rule or regulation.
You agree and acknowledge that College Storage may discard any liquids that are stored in violation of these Terms and Conditions as determined by Collage Storage without notice to you or your consent.
$25 any fridge that is not clean and defrosted
$25 any single basic non furniture item that weighs over 50 lbs. It is at our discretion to charge this fee. We usually go by a rule that if one of our strong employees cannot pickup and move the box or item without great difficulty you may be charged so please spread out your weight among your items.
Q. What if my item weighs 51 lbs or a little over will I be charged?
No, we store enough items of various weights that we aren’t trying to nickel and dime you. However, some students neglect how they are packing, please use common sense. If you can’t move it we probably can’t either. We reserve the right to ask you to repack your items or reject your items in the case that our employees feel the weight is a safety issue.
$50 - Same day service/Rush Delivery/Extra Pickups/Dropoffs (if we can accommodate)
College Storage reserves the right to amend or modify the pricing at pickup based on the (i) quantity of boxes and/or storage containers, (ii) condition of items, and/or (iii) size of items. College Storage also reserves the right to charge additional fees for missed pickups.
Lost or Damaged Items
College Storage is only responsible for loss or damage caused by the negligence of College Storage or its employees or agents. College Storage is not responsible for items that are lost, damaged, or subject to theft as a result of your failure to properly pack the items, secure the box or storage container, or otherwise fail to comply with these Terms and Conditions. You agree and acknowledge that College Storage is not responsible for damage to (i) items that are broken inside of a box or storage container without visible damage to the box or storage container, (ii) fragile items, (iii) items that have collapsed or exploded due to the box breaking during transport from improper packing, (iv) minor damage due to normal handling, (v) damage caused by events outside of the control of College Storage, (vi) oversize items that are not properly wrapped and protected, (vii) boxes or storage containers, and (viii) electronic items that are not stored in the original packing. You further agree and acknowledge that any liability of College Storage for items that are lost, damaged, or subject to theft or any other claims against College Storage arising out of the services provided by College Storage or the Website is limited to Three Hundred Dollars ($300). You agree and acknowledge that is no event are your entitled to any type of damages in excess of Three Hundred Dollars ($300) unless you purchased additional insurance from College Storage.
In order to submit a claim for items that are lost, damaged or subject to theft, you must submit a claim in writing on the Website no later than Seventy Two (72) hours after the item was delivered to you. You must also submit pictures of the item that is damaged, lost or subject to theft within the box or storage container at the time of pick up.

In the event that you do not arrange to have your items in storage delivered within Two (2) years of the date College Storage took possession or you have an outstanding balance owed to College Storage for a period of Two (2) years, you will be deemed to have abandoned all items in College Storage’s possession, custody, or control. In the event of abandonment, College Storage reserves the right to sell or otherwise dispose of such items in any manner that College Storage deems appropriate and College Storage will not be liable in any manner to you for the value of those items or any proceeds received from a sale.
Acceptance of Terms
Your use of this website constitutes your agreement and acceptance without modification of the notices, terms and conditions set forth herein. If you do not agree and accept without modification these Terms and Conditions, do not use this website. Other than agreements between you and College Storage relating to the sale of products or services to you through the Website, College Storage will not enter into any agreement with you or obligation to you through the Website and no attempt to create such an agreement or obligation will be effective. You agree and acknowledge that College Storage may terminate your use and/or access to the Website at any time in its sole discretion. College Storage reserves the right to change or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time in its sole discretion without notice. Your continued use of the Website constitutes acceptance to any revised Terms and Conditions.
The trademarks, service marks and logos (the "Trademarks") used and displayed on the Website are owned exclusively by College Storage. Nothing on the Website should be construed as granting any license or right to use the Trademarks, without the prior written permission of College Storage. College Storage aggressively enforces its intellectual property rights to the fullest extent of the law.
College Storage shall not be liable for any delay in or impairment of performance resulting in whole or in part from acts of God, severe weather conditions, labor disruptions, governmental decrees or controls, war risks, shortages, or any other circumstances or causes beyond the control of College Storage in the conduct of its business.
College Storage does not endorse or warrant, and is not responsible for, the accuracy, timeliness, completeness, or reliability of any content or information contained by means of any such link or website. College Storage’s services are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, other than as specifically provided in these Terms and Conditions. College Storage specifically disclaims any warranties and conditions of any kind with respect to its services including but not limited to all implied warranties and conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement.
From time to time, the Website may include content posted, provided, or contributed by a third-party or will represent the opinions and judgments of a third-party. College Storage does not endorse or warrant, and is not responsible for, the accuracy, timeliness, completeness, or reliability of any such content. Limitation of Liability
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL COLLEGE STORAGE OR ANY OF ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUCCESSORS, AND/OR ASSIGNS BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY INJURY TO PERSON, ANY DAMAGE TO PROPERTY, OR FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES (EVEN IF COLLEGE STORAGE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES) ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES PROVIDED BY COLLEGE STORAGE AND/OR THE WEBSITE. COLLEGE STORAGE’S LIABILITY IN ALL EVENTS IS LIMITED TO, AND SHALL NOT EXCEED, DAMAGES IN THE AMOUNT OF THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($300). In some jurisdictions, limitations of liability are not permitted and as a result some of the foregoing limitations and conditions may not apply. In all other cases, these limitations and conditions shall apply to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
You agree to indemnify and hold College Storage, and its directors, officers, owners, and agents, harmless from and against any and all losses, liabilities, claims, costs, damages, or expenses of any kind, including any reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs, resulting from, arising out of, or connected in any with (i) your failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions, (ii) any and all claims by third parties regarding your items stored by College Storage, (iii) your failure to comply with any federal, state or local laws or regulations, (iv) any injury to or the death of any person caused by your items stored by College Storage, (v) property damages caused by your items stored by College Storage, and (vi) any loss of or damage to any property of any person, as well as any and all claims, actions, suits, proceedings, demands, assessments, losses, liabilities, judgments, costs, and legal or other expenses incident to the foregoing.
These Terms and Conditions and any services provided by College Storage is being delivered and is intended to be performed in the State of Rhode Island, and shall be construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of that state without reference to the rules of conflicts of laws thereof. In any litigation connected with or arising out of any services provided by College Storage, the Website, and/or these Terms and Conditions, the parties hereto hereby consent to and confer exclusive jurisdiction on the courts of the State of Rhode Island and on the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island, and hereby expressly waive any objections to venue or forum non conveniens in any such courts.
Any of the part, provisions, or warranties set forth herein are severable and separable, and in the event that they, or any one of them, shall be deemed to be void, invalid, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction; then this Agreement shall be interpreted as if such void, invalid, or unenforceable parts, provisions, or warranties were not set forth herein, and the remaining provisions hereof shall remain enforceable to the extent permitted by applicable law. There are no agreements, representations, warranties, covenants, or conditions, either precedent or subsequent, between the parties unless specifically set forth in these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions is subject to no understandings, conditions, or representations other than those expressly stated herein. In the event that any party hereto is required to engage the services of legal counsel to enforce its rights under these Terms and Conditions against any other party hereto, regardless of whether such action results in litigation, the prevailing party shall be entitled to collect and recover reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs from such other party, which in the event of litigation shall include fees and costs incurred both at trial and on appeal.
